Understanding Juries

Mock Trialconsists of two-to four panels of jurors who observe a presentation of evidence, testimony, and arguments from both sides of a case. Jurors provide feedback through questionnaires and group deliberations, which are memorialized and viewed via one-way glass, video-streamed to any client computer, or digitally projected in an observation suite. Mock trials reveal fundamental dispositions, often with regard to negligence and compensation in a case. Data from discussion and deliberation provides insights to improve risk assessment, witness performance, and to sharpen jury selection and trial strategy.

Concept Focus Groups are issues-oriented, informal, and less time-consuming than a traditional mock trial. Members can ask questions and talk about what issues they have with the case, quickly vetting out its strengths and challenges. Concept groups last about two hours; the facilitator presents information in a fact neutral, chronological, and non-persuasive way.
